I am from New Hampshire and will be graduating with my Bachelor’s degree in Art with an emphasis in Graphic Design and a minor in English. My creative work includes digital, printmaking, photography, and drawing. I have chosen these pieces for the gallery because they encompass all my values; family, creativity, and animal rights. Animal rights are important to me because they don’t have their own voices. I feel as though they get pushed to the wayside and our race forgets that they aren’t able to speak up for themselves. I value creativity because it’s a great outlet for people to express themselves. With creativity anything is possible. My family is Albanian, and family is a core value in our culture. My experience of helping raise my ex boyfriend’s little sister for the past three years has influenced my idea of family and much of my art. I created the comic around my everyday life with this experience. My artwork is a credible representation of how I became the person I am today.
